Editorial Illustration
"Captive Tigers"
This was an editorial illustration for provided article text. After researching the demographics of the magazine's readers, producing multiple options for relevant illustration ideas and text layouts, and testing the best format to capture the article's message, a two-page spread of the editorial was created. This article was about an investigation into the captive tiger industry and its semi-successful whereabouts today. I wanted to create a simple image, guiding the reader's eye to the text and leaving ample negative space for interest, and a bold, straightforward and eye-catching headline.
